Syed Shaharyar Ahmed is an advocate by profession. He did his LLB Hons. from Punjab University Law College by securing a remarkable CGPA of 3.97 out of 4. He did his specialization course in Intellectual Property Laws from the University of Pennsylvania and in Cloud Computing Laws from the Queen Mary University of London. Furthermore, he also possesses specialization in European Business Law, and International Law. He is currently pursuing his masters in International Technology Law at Vrije Universiteit (VU) Amsterdam, Netherlands on a fully-funded VUFP Fellowship. He is currently working as a research assistant at the Department of Transnational Legal Studies (TLS), Vrije Universiteit (VU) Amsterdam, Netherlands. 

He is a Cybersecurity Analyst certified from Cisco Systems Int. in Cybersecurity Essentials and IoT. He holds certifications from the United States Institute of Peace in ADR methods as well as in Conflict Analysis, Conflict Management and Peacemaking.

He was approved as a judge by ILSA for their Jessup Moot Court Competition 2023 for adjudication of international oral rounds and memorial. He was invited by the administrator of South Africa, for judging oral rounds of that region. He was approved to serve as an arbitrator in the Willem C. Vis International Arbitration Moot 2023. He also arbitrated the Foreign Direct Investment Moot Competition 2023.  He has adjudicated the  Latin American and Indonesian National Rounds of Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition 2024. He has recently adjudicated the Willem C. Vis. Russian Pre-Moot 2024.

He has also completed various internships with prestigious law firms from all across the globe including Hogan Lovells, White & Case, Latham & Watkins and Clifford Chance, which fueled his curiosity about international relations and law. These internships focused on the application of international environmental law, white collar crimes and GDPR regulations in various states. 

He frequently writes articles relating to Cybersecurity, Arbitration and International Relations. Furthermore, he is an academic author with more than fifteen (15) publications to his name. He is currently a partner at Ibrar & Associates which operates mainly in Lahore, Pakistan.
